Give a Little Love...

I took a day off from the orders I've been working on to make a few items for charity.  If you follow me on Instagram, that's where you will see the most activity from Sweet Besitos.  A page has been started that will host auctions to benefit different charities.  The first auction will benefit a sweet little girl, Lilly Bumpus, who is 1 yr old and just found out that she is cancer free.  She has been through so much with chemotherapy, radiation, biopsies, and countless other procedures.  Her family has had medical bills piling up and many people have teamed together to help out there family.  Lots of vendors have come together and donated items to be grouped together in baskets to be bid on.  All proceeds will go to Lilly and her family.  I was excited to be able to donate a few items to help out this great cause and spread the love.  The items below are what I created for different auction baskets.  If you are on Instagram, follow the page @wecometogether for the upcoming auction for Lilly Bumpus and other charity auctions.

New Baby Mobile for my new Niece

As a gift for my new neice, Laurie Mae Brown, I made this mobile for her as requested from my sister.  

Old Paintings from Hawaii

Today I dug some of my old paintings out of the closet.  None of these canvases are stretched or framed...just on rolled canvas.  I painted all of these while I lived in Hawaii.  Can you tell that I was inspired???

 This last one was a collaboration with myself and one of my best friends for over 20 years. We made this together while she was visiting me in Hawaii.  It was so much fun doing and I will never forget it.  

Some of My First Hats...

Oldies, but goodies...These are the first items that I ever crocheted.  I have gotten much better with practice, but still these are examples of classic and fun beanie styles that can be fully customized with colors and textures of yarn.  Stripe patterns also available!!!

This aztec-like pattern was achieved by using a multi colored yarn.

 Custom bow clipped onto beanie...can change out bows to match any outfit!

 The first thing I ever crocheted...my skills have greatly improved with practice!  This one isn't horrible...just a little uneven. 

Don't Quote Me on That...or Do!!!

Do you want a quote, saying, scripture, or inspirational words or poem captured on a canvas.  Fully customizable to any words or colors you like.  Words can also be painted over pictures.

Customize Your Kid's Room

Whether it's for a new baby or an older child, it's always great to add a little personalization to their room.  I can create a custom painting for you with your little one's name on it.  You choose the colors, the theme, and what you want on your canvas.  Choose to go with the theme of your child's room or just something they are into.  Get creative with your canvas and think outside the box...or let me do it for you.  Some options that can be added to canvas are...

stick and twigs glued on to make a 3D bird's nest...

 metallic paints (as shows in bullets)...

 glitter detailing...

 pearlized paint...

 and always a coordinating ribbon to tie it all together!

Glow in the dark paint is also available for highlighting as shown in the giraffe canvas.  Fabric and other materials can also be added to the canvas to make it unique and interesting.  

Up Up and Away

Hand Crocheted baby mobiles.  The first is a hot air balloon with hanging butterflies and clouds that was made for baby Emmeline.  Colors are fully customizable.  Other options are hanging birds, ribbons, spirals...the possibilities are endless!

The next is an airplane mobile with hanging clouds that was made for baby Matteo.  Can also customize the colors to match any nursery as well as other options for flying birds...or whatever creative item you want flying...I can probably make!

Little Ducky

Crocheted Duck Beanie with Diaper Cover and matching Lovey Blanket made for a baby shower gift for my sister-in-law for lil baby Matteo.

Sock Monkey Fun

Crocheted Sock Monkey Beanie and Baby Rattle.  Beanie made in newborn size, but can be made larger for babies, toddlers, kids, and even adults.  All items hand crocheted by yours truly and made with love.  Eyes on beanie are buttons.  Soft stretchable yarn used for all items.

Giraffe Canvas

Custom canvas done for baby Enzo's room...name purposely left off because the name was not being revealed until he was born and the painting was done before then.  This canvas has glow-in-the-dark paint on the stars, moon, and moon beams which was a fun addition and has been nice for mommy and baby Enzo to enjoy during those night time feedings and snuggles.  As with all canvases, this has been finished and sealed with varnish to help prevent fading and yellowing and gives the glossy finish.
